The recent tragic losses of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and Tony McDade have moved this conversation to the front and center for many people, some of them for the first time. This awakening has lead to a surge in humans making commitments to identify and dismantle White supremacy both within themselves and within our society at large. This work is essential AND when committing to it, one must also be mindful to make commitments to their own energy in order do this work sustainably over the duration of their lives.
In this episode, I discuss burnout culture as it relates to anti-racism work. Tune in to hear me talk about how caring for yourself will nourish your capacity to show up for the things you value and care about most.
Tune in to hear me explore…
- Grounding, right timing, and taking action with your whole self
- What a commitment to anti-racism looks like for me, personally
- Resourcing yourself to sustainably make commitments
