Official bio
Mara Glatzel, MSW (she/her) is an intuitive coach, writer, and podcast host. She is a needy human who helps other needy humans stop abandoning themselves and start taking up space in their own lives.
She’s also a queer, femme mother of two, recovering control freak, and human who deeply understands the impulse to relegate her needs to the bottom of a very long to do list in an attempt to prove her worth.
In a world teeming with self-care gurus and bath-laden listacles geared towards prioritizing the self-care that helps you produce more, Mara is a staunch ally for what poet Mary Oliver referred to as “the soft animal of your body” -- the neediest, most vulnerable, and true expression of who you are. She will never sell you a quick fix, and will forever champion the resiliency and inherent worth of your radiant humanity. Instead of urging you to continue looking outside of yourself for answers, Mara’s paradigm-shifting work will teach you to turn inward towards yourself, again and again.
Mara received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Wooster in 2007 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work with a specialization in Trauma & Interpersonal Violence from Simmons College in 2012.
